• Acting for Two: FreezeFlame22 voiced every single character in the series, including the female characters.
• Creator Backlash:
  • While FreezeFlame22 was initially proud of the series, he eventually grew to dislike it, regarding it as a poorly written embarrassment with unlikable characters and crude visuals. Due to all of this, he decided to cancel the series in 2016 and released the first episode of Carl in early 2017. Eventually FreezeFlame22 made a reboot of his old series under the name of Bowser's Children, later changed to Bowser's Koopalings.
  • Among all the episodes in the show, FreezeFlame22 strongly regrets the Series Finale the most due to Bowser's status as a Designated Hero. Even though it is literally revealed that he murdered Wendy and Larry's biological mother just to get out of jailtime, causing Larry to Go Mad from the Revelation, the show expects the audience to side with Bowser in spite of his selfish and despicable actions. Freeze also cites Iggy's line in which he tells Larry that he is lucky in comparison to his siblings because they were abandoned by their mothers as one of the worst things he has ever written, for obvious reasons.
• Creator's Pest: According to FreezeFlame22, he used to feel this way about Luigi. Because of Luigi's status as the resident Butt-Monkey, many fans back in the day hoped that he could learn to stand up for himself and leave Mario, but Freeze was annoyed at this idea, and thus decided to make Luigi as unlikable as possible, explaining his moody attitude and sudden shift in characterization in the later episodes of the series. Freeze has since come to regret this mistake, and has advised any future writers to never take this route with a character.
• Cross-Dressing Voices: As mentioned before, all the female characters were voiced by FreezeFlame22, since all of the characters were voiced by him.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: In 2017, Freeze unlisted the series on his main channel, as not only he wasn't proud of the work he had done on the show, but also to avoid any potential confusion from fans regarding The Koopa Kids and Bowser's Koopalings, as some people thought both shows were connected and that the latter was a sequel to the former rather than it being a Continuity Reboot. It wasn't until 2022 when he created a separate channel exclusively dedicated to reuploading the series for conservation purposes.
• Quietly Cancelled: The episode "C U Later" wasn't originally meant to be the Series Finale. Freeze had originally intended to make a fourth season of the series, but shortly after the episode was released however, Freeze stated that The Koopa Kids would be going on hiatus so he could focus on other projects, most specifically, a brand new series starting side character in The Koopa Kids, Carl, but that the series would not be cancelled. Midway through the first season of Carl however, a Continuity Reboot of The Koopa Kids, Bowser's Koopalings, was announced, essentially meaning that The Koopa Kids had ultimately been cancelled in order to make way for a new show. This is due to FreezeFlame22 not being fond of the job he had done with The Koopa Kids when he was younger, and so wanted to completely scrap his original creation and start all over again with Bowser and the Koopalings.
• What Could Have Been: A fourth season that ran alongside Carl was planned, with Carl being conceived as a spinoff, but due to no longer being proud of the work he had done with it, FreezeFlame22 ultimately cancelled The Koopa Kids and then rebooted it as Bowser's Koopalings, while Carl soon lost any lingering connection it had to The Koopa Kids (resulting in bits of Early-Installment Weirdness such as Carl imagining himself dying, which is a callback to his original role in that series).
