• Box Office Bomb: Budget: 25 million USD. Box office: Only 6.6 million USD.
• California Doubling: Zig-zagged. While there were scenes filmed in Canada, the scenes set in Japan were filmed in Nagoya.
• Irony as She Is Cast: Oshima the drunken blacksmith is played by Takayuki "Tak" Kubota, a highly respected and decorated martial artist.
• Missing Trailer Scene: The theatrical trailer shows several scenes which are not in the movie, like the scene in which Kinjo is dressed in some suit and is watching the city at night from the top of some building or scene where friend of Racine comes to visit him in hospital to warn him that he is in great danger.
