• Romance on the Set: He met his current wife while wrestling in México.
• Throw It In!: The famous ending of the Super J Cup '94 semi-final match against Jushin Thunder Liger. Sasuke was supposed to perform a springboard move on Liger and end the match, but he slipped on the ropes and fell on his face in the midst of the move. Liger's reaction? Immediately striking a Slow Clap and taunting him, giving Sasuke time to jump up and improvise a perfect hurricanrana for the finish. The spot turned what might have become one of the most embarrassing moments in wrestling into one of the most awesome exhibits of working skill.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Sasuke originally applied for the New Japan Pro-Wrestling dojo, but he failed the tests, so he went to Gran Hamada's Universal Lucha Libre instead, where he finally passed.
  • The WWF match between Sasuke and TAKA Michinoku had been meant to be Sasuke's introduction before signing up with the company. However, despite TAKA committed a dangerous botch on an Asai moonsault during the match, Vince McMahon liked him more than Sasuke, so he signed TAKA instead. Rumoredly, Sasuke was so infuriated by this that he didn't talk to TAKA in years.
