- Actor Allusion:
- Tetsuya Kakihara plays Tomoe Enjou, who wants to escape the paradoxical spiral of Araya's apartment - ironic, as his Star-Making Role was all about spirals.
- Kenichi Suzumura, who voices Mikiya Kokutou, previously voiced Shiki Tohno, who is in large part an Expy of Mikiya, in the Shingetsutan anime adaptation of Tsukihime.
- Ascended Fan Nickname: "Fujino~n" for Asagami Fujino. Later, Nasu started calling her by that name.
- Fan Translation: Of the light novels, it stopped in the middle of Chapter Five when it was announced that it would actually be published in English. Pity it hasn't happened yet. A good samaritan has finally provided us with a full translation of all seven chapters.
- Fountain of Expies: Within Type-Moon, Shiki spawned Canaan. Tohno Shiki is also a partial expy with the same given name; he (and Tsukihime as a whole) first came into being at a time when it appeared that KnK wouldn't get published period, and Nasu wanted to salvage some of the concepts from his earlier work.
- No Export for You: It looked like this might be averted when Del Rey Manga announced they were going to publish the novels (which stopped the Fan Translation). However, this was announced in 2008. As of this writing, it's 2011. One enterprising fan wrote an e-mail and got this as response. Averted for the anime adaptation; Crunchyroll will have all 10 movies available to watch. The fact that this coincided with the crossover with Fate/Grand Order going live hasn't gone unnoticed. Aniplex USA initially released the series as a Japanese import and later on released the series in a Blu-Ray box set, albeit without an English dub and a high price tag.
- Playing Against Type: In an interview released with the Blu-Ray box set, Maaya Sakamoto mentioned that before being cast as the "cool-headed" Shiki, her roles were mostly "younger sisters or vivacious young girls". Ironically, as noted in What Could Have Been, she initially wanted to play the same type here by playing Azaka.
- Portmanteau Series Nickname: Kara no Kyoukai —> "Rakkyo".
- What Could Have Been:
- Del Ray was suppose to be publishing The Garden of Sinners for English-speaking countries/territories. The company filed for bankruptcy and was closed and the light novels have not been licensed for an official English translation since.
- Maaya Sakamoto wanted to voice Azaka. She settled to voice Shiki in the end.
