• Development Gag: The show's original plans for Blueblood to be a duke rather than a prince are worked into the fic by having him actually be a duke, and explaining that "Prince Blueblood" is in fact a hereditary title held by his family's eldest son.
  • Despite Rarity claiming that it's a fake title, it turns out that "Prince Blueblood" is semantically equivalent to "Uncrowned King of the Unicorn Kingdom." The only fake thing about it is how it suggests to the ignorant that the prince is closely related to Celestia and Luna.
