Trivia / The Flash (Infinite Frontier)

Go To

  • Approval of God: Jeremy Adams sought Mark Waid's permission to name Wally and Linda's third child Wade after the legendary Flash writer. According to Adams, Waid was flattered by the tribute.
  • Ascended Fanon: Wallace being called "Ace" is something the Flash fandom cooked up once Wally returned in Rebirth, in order to differentiate the two while still giving Wallace a nickname. While DC instead just had Wallace not use a nickname, in this run, "Ace" is revealed to be a teasing nickname that the West family gave Wallace when he was a child, and something that Wally calls Wallace when not using his superhero name. It's subsequently picked up by other characters.
  • Executive Meddling: Following the announcement of Simon Spurrier and Mike Deodato's Dawn of DC run, Adams has confirmed that his departure from The Flash following "One-Minute War" was not his decision. It was DC editorial's call, as they wanted a new creative and tonal direction for the book (hence Spurrier/Deodato).
  • Milestone Celebration: The series ends with issue #800, which features an anthology of stories by Jeremy Adams, incoming writer Si Spurrier, and previous Flash writers Mark Waid, Geoff Johns, and Joshua Williamson.
