• Milestone Celebration: As Porky Pig points out in the beginning, the special was created to commemorate Earth Day's 20th anniversary.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Because of its liberal use of a mix of characters owned by Warner Bros, Colombia Pictures, Universal and even Disney (who now own the Muppets) this special likely won't ever see another release again after its initial 1990 VHS printing.
• The Other Darrin: This is one of the earliest instances of Jeff Bergman voicing the Looney Tunes, after Mel Blanc had died.
• Reality Subtext: Michael Keaton's character, factory owner Charles McIntyre, apologizes for his participation in illegal waste dumping. The scene is based off of an incident that actually happened.
