• Adored by the Grocery Store Newstands: Not a month goes by without Dr. Oz on the front cover of some health magazine.
• Colbert Bump: He has the ability to give one to techniques, information and even products. It's been called the "Dr. Oz effect" in journalism.
• Dueling Shows: With The Doctors, incidentally produced by a different kind of, but equally famous doctor who's also associated with Oprah.
• Screwed by the Network: After Dr. Oz announced his campaign for Senate in Pennsylvania, stations that served (or whose signals penetrated into) the state were forced to pull his show off the air, notably Fox owned-and-operated stations WNYW and WTXF (both located in Top 10 markets). It was later confirmed that the show would officially be ending in January 2022, with the loss of clearance in New York City and Philadelphia playing a major factor.
