• Dawson Casting: A few examples:
  • Stuart Piggott was 29 when the events of the film took place, but is played by 51-year-old Ben Chaplin.
  • Charles Philips was in his thirties at the time of the Sutton Hoo dig, but is played by Ken Stott who is three decades older.
• What Could Have Been: The film was going to be made by the BBC and star Nicole Kidman as Edith Pretty. However, Kidman dropped out of the project and Netflix took over production of the film.
