- Christmas Rushed: SparktheDog admitted that Mission 7 was rushed as he originally intended that chapter (which ended the Volume 1 adaptation of the story) to be a Christmas gift to his readers. This resulted in backlash when Neo beat Dante in that chapter, who should've had no issue fighting her given Dante's abilities. SparktheDog eventually re-did that point from Mission 7 onwards, instead having Dante defeat and capture both Roman and Neo, leading to their arrest, causing Cinder to enlist the help of Dr. Merlot in The Stinger.
- What Could Have Been: Originally, The Devil Went Down To Remnant was gonna mix both the RWBY and the Devil May Cry lores together, in an Alternate Continuity where Patch was destroyed in a demon invasion, leading to Taiyang and Summer dying trying to defend their home, with Summer pleading to Dante to look after Ruby and Yang as her last request. This was scrapped when the author had a hard time trying to blend the two continuities together.
