• Divorced Installment: The first film was originally intended to be a Saw prequel called The Midnight Man.
• Troubled Production: A third film, titled The Collected, began production in 2019, with Josh Stewart and Emma Fitzpatrick returning as Arkin and Elena while Tom Atkins played Elena's father. Unfortunately, as Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton revealed in this interview with the podcast The Thing With Two Heads, production was unexpectedly shut down eight days into the shoot with no explanation from the film's producer, or even any response. What's more, since this producer owned the rights to the film, Dunstan and Melton couldn't continue even if they had the money. With only twelve minutes of footage filmed, in 2021 they announced that the film was abandoned.
• What Could Have Been: The film was originally going to be a prequel to Saw, and would have served as an origin story for Jigsaw.
