- Creator Backlash: Chevy Chase has never had much good to say about hosting a late night talk show, claiming the result was a wholly different concept than what was originally envisioned — he wanted something closer to a variety show — and that he was contractually obligated to do it as the network wanted.
- Creator Killer: Not only was it a major catalyst in tainting Chevy Chase's reputation (cemented when Vegas Vacation tanked and finished the job), it more or less embarrassed Fox out of doing another late night talk show for another thirteen years.
- Executive Meddling: If you believe Chevy Chase, Fox shut down a lot of his original ideas in favor of a more traditional talk show.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Don't expect a re-release of any part of this show. Some low-quality clips have popped up on YouTube, if you dare, but it's safe to say that Fox would rather keep this one buried.
