• Orphaned Series:
  • The Midnight mod series that focused on a Goldwater presidency ultimately leading to a right-wing takeover of America led by Neo-Nazi George Lincoln Rockwell, which started with the widely-praised 1964 Midnight and continued with 1965 Midnight, was canceled in late 2023 as a result of burnout and Artist Disillusionment hitting the mod developer u/Gardfeld.
  • The Red series was orphaned as well after allegations of various forms of bigotry were brought against the mod developer Captain Tom in January of 2024, causing him to leave the community. The rest of the development team expressed a desire to, at the very least, finish any mods in the series that were in active development at the time of Tom's departure. In April 2024, it was confirmed that the remaining members of the Red team had ceased development on all mods in the universe, meaning it has truly been orphaned for good.
• Saved from Development Hell: A few years after the developer said that he had essentially abandoned the project and was unlikely to release new scenarios, he quietly added an updated scenario for 2016, replacing the older March 2016 version that no longer reflected current events. It fell back into Development Hell in mid-2021, but an active modding community has sprung up to add new scenarios (including alt-hist, state and international elections) and flesh out old ones with new candidates.
