• California Doubling: Some of the Middle East scenes are shot in Morocco since places like Syria are still under a civil war. Although most of the show is shot in New Mexico.
• Dueling Shows:
  • With SEAL Team. Both shows depicts operators working special forces missions overseas while risking their lives to help fellow Americans go home and protect the country from its enemies.
    • The first episodes of both shows involve rescuing a Western female who has been kidnapped by local terrorist forces.
    • Moreso with their fifth episodes, which deal with saving American VIPs from chaotic African countries (Lagos, Nigeria in The Brave and Juba, South Sudan in SEAL Team) due to the rocky situations there.
    • And again with The Brave's eighth episode vs. SEAL Team's ninth episode, which both feature a plot about an aircraft from Russia crashing at the very edge of the Chinese border in Xinjiang province, resulting in both the protagonists and Russian special forces infiltrating China and racing against each other to secure the crash site and get the objective out of the country before the Chinese army mobilizes and hunts them all down.
  • Also with Valor, which centers on an Expy of the 160th SOAR and a conspiracy that centers on the failed Somali op.
• Fake American: Noah Mills, who plays Joseph "McG" McGuire, is Canadian. This is referenced in "The Seville Defection" when McG pretends to be Canadian.
