• One-Take Wonder: In order to save the film stock, about thirty scenes were done in only one take.
• Wag the Director: Maureen O'Hara refused to take her wedding ring off for one scene, resulting in screen adjustments to make it look like Margaret is just wearing a dinner ring.
• What Could Have Been: The original ending had Waring and Margaret jumping into the sea together, but it had to be re-shot to appease the censors.
