Trivia / The Black Keys

  • Breakthrough Hit: Brothers. After the album came out, they've became a lot more famous.
  • Creator Breakdown: Turn Blue
  • He Also Did: Patrick Carney, along with his uncle, made the theme for Bojack Horseman
  • Sleeper Hit:
    • Brothers. The band's Blues Rock sound was not particularly en vogue, but they enjoyed a minor cult following through five albums, with their songs occasionally popping up in soundtracks. Brothers was their first album to chart, had several successful singles and won two Grammy awards.
    • The same can apply to "Tighten' Up", the lead single of Brothers which got virtually no attention upon its release in April, then two months later with the official release and the sudden success of Brothers the track went on to become their first song to receive airplay on Alternative Radio (and also their first #1 there for that matter) and their first to chart on the Hot 100 and eventually going platinum.
