• Acting for Two: Two storylines have Jamie replaced by a lookalike with Lindsay Wagner acting both roles. In fact, the latter episode won Wagner the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
• The Cast Showoff: Lindsay Wagner shows off her singing abilities in at least two episodes, one in which she sings "Feelings" while infiltrating a beauty pageant a la Miss Congeniality and later when she pretends to be a country singer.
• Channel Hop: It started on ABC but for moved to NBC for the final season.
• The Danza: In the third season, Chris Stone as Chris Williams.
• Recycled Premise: It's the same as Six Million Dollar Man. It also had episodes that reused the same basic plot repeatedly.
• Recycled Script: The series was guilty of this several times in its first season due to the extremely short notice given between its commissioning and its debut. The most egregious cases isare"Fly Jaime", which not only recycles its plot but also several clips from The Six Million Dollar Man's "Survival of the Fittest", and the episode where Jaime inexplicably has to defend a lion ("Claws").
• Un-Cancelled: Richard Anderson (Oscar Goldman) and Martin E. Brooks (Dr. Rudy Wells) made history when ABC cancelled the series and NBC picked it up for a final season. The two were allowed to continue to appear in both shows, even though they were now on competing networks. Further crossovers with Lee Majors, however, were forbidden.
• What Could Have Been: Sally Field was offered the role of Jaime Sommers, but turned it down because she didn't want to be tied down to another television series after The Flying Nun. (she did eventually return to series television however.
