- Black Sheep Hit: Darn near all of them, actually. Of their 4 best-charting singles, "Manic Monday" was Covered Up from Prince (with him playing keyboard on it), "Walk Like An Egyptian" was a novelty song that was more New Wave Music than most of their works, "Hazy Shade of Winter" was another cover, and "Eternal Flame" was a Power Ballad (the only one on Everything). None of these hits are really "typical" Bangles songs. "In Your Room" was their only top 5 hit that sounded like most of their other work.
- The Pete Best: Annette Zilinskas played bass and harmonica on the Bangles' eponymous EP, then left the band. In 2018, she would re-join the band and play with them for the first time since 1983.
- Real Song Theme Tune: Former CHIKARA team The Osirian Portal, whose gimmick was based on Egyptian Mythology, used "Walk Like An Egyptian."
- The 2014 anime adaptation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders uses Walk Like an Egyptian as its ending theme for the first half.

- Robbie Fulks wrote a song about his love for Susanna Hoffs, "That Bangle Girl".
- And then there's "I'd Love To Kiss The Bangles" by The Saw Doctors.
- His favorite's Vicki, actually.
- Star-Derailing Role: The Allnighter, a 1987 comedy film directed by Susanna Hoffs' mother Tamar Simon Hoffs, was an attempt to turn Susanna into a movie star and featured no singing from Susanna or any Bangles songs. The movie tanked badly and was critically panned, essentially ending Susanna's chances of breaking into Hollywood.
