Trivia / The Baby-Sitters Club (1990)

• Amateur Cast: Most of the lead actresses have not had any further acting credits since the show ended.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: The last home release of the series was a 1993 Laser Disc; before that were single-episode VHS tapes. However, it has since become available digitally on Amazon and other streaming services.
• What Could Have Been: The series was pitched to broadcast networks such as ABC, but was rejected because shows aimed at girls weren't seen as "broad" enough. They chose to release them on video until HBO eventually picked it up for airing.
  • One way they wanted to fix that was by adding more male characters to make it appeal to boys but Scholastic insisted it be true to the books.
