- Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: A lot of websites list the voice of Time Slime as Robert Ridgely. However if you were to watch "It's A Wonderful Scoob" right after an episode of Challenge of the GoBots or Sky Commanders you'd swear he sounds a lot like Cy-Kill and General Plague. Both were characters voiced by Bernard Erhard, another voice actor credited as working on this cartoon.
- Creator's Pest: Tom Ruegger admitted he hated Flim-Flam, to the point that the character gave him a better appreciation for Scrappy.Who I really couldn't stand was Flim-Flam. Definitely the product of network focus groups: "We need to get a kid in there". Flim-Flam never worked out. Total drain.
- Cross-Dressing Voices: Susan Blu as Flim-Flam.
- Les Tremayne as Zomba.
- The Danza: Vincent Price as Vincent Van Ghoul.
- Executive Meddling: Tom Ruegger claims that Flim Flam was added to the show because of a network mandate. Some ABC network research indicated that our kid audience wanted someone they could relate to — a young person. Mitch and I resisted, but the request was firm. We came up with the idea of adding a kid version of Sgt. Bilko/Phil Silvers — a conman kid who could take advantage of Shaggy and Scooby. Ultimately, it felt forced. Flim Flam did not fit in naturally to the scenario.
- Follow the Leader: The show followed on the coattails of Ghostbusters, and it shows. This is also a case of such things not always being bad.
- Production Posse: The show shares several voice actors with Filmation's Ghostbusters. Maldor the Malevolent, Sandy, and Zimbulu are Brat-A-Rat and Ed Spenser, Sr. and Jr., Flim-Flam McScam is Belfry and Futura, Queen Morbidia and Nekara were Jessica Wray, and Reflector Specter and Professor Phantazmo are Prime Evil.
