- Creator Backlash: Inverted. Despite That's My Bush's tepid audience reception (especially when compared to their other big series), Parker and Stone have admitted that they had a lot of fun doing the show and, despite lasting for only eight episodes, they were quite happy with how it turned out.
- Executive Meddling: Comedy Central wouldn't allow Trey and Matt to have Jenna and Barbara Bush, the President's daughters, as characters, so they opted to combine them into Princess, Bush's (fictional) dimwitted secretary.
- What Could Have Been:
- There were plans to have Jenna and Barbara Bush portrayed in the show as incestuous lesbian lovers, but the aforementioned Executive Meddling put that idea in the coffin.
- And, of course, the show would've starred Al Gore rather than George W. Bush had Gore won the 2000 election.
- Working Title: It was originally announced as Family First before the election; Everybody Loves Al would've been the final name had Gore won.
