Trivia / Terry and June

• The Danza: Carrying over from Happy Ever After, Terry Scott plays Terry Medford whilst June Whitfield plays June Medford.
• Recycled Script: A couple of scripts of the series were taken from its predecessor Happy Ever After, usually with other characters taking over for Aunt Lucy. These include "Mistaken Identikit" (taken from the Happy Ever After episode of the same name) and "Terry In Court" (also taken from the Happy Ever After episode of the same name).
• Unfinished Episode: There was a script (titled "Computer Games") scheduled to be for Series 8 which would have dealt with Terry getting a home computer. However, it never made it to production, although the fact that some listings still mention the episode suggest that it was very late in development that this was dropped.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Doris Hare was due to appear in a small scene in one episode, but Terry Scott had her sacked for forgetting her lines.
  • A movie was in the production stage for a little while but was never released.
  • A tenth series was considered, with several scripts in consideration, but was never put into production as the show ended after 9 series.
• Write What You Know:
  • John Kane wrote "The Sporting Life" (wherein Terry builds a table tennis table) after struggling to put together a table tennis table of his own.
  • The plot about the goldfish in "The Family Way" was based on an event that actually happened to Terry Scott.
