- Doing It for the Art: She literally moved from Australia to Canada in order to train with Lance Storm.
- Dye Hard: Is a natural brunette but dyed her hair blonde early in her career. She reverted to brown once she was released from WWE.

- Real Life Writes the Plot: Her return to NXT and Face–Heel Turn was ultimately brought on by her lack of being used when she was called up to the main roster - and the character used this bitterness to turn heel in an attempt to make a name for herself again.
- Role-Ending Misdemeanor: In July 2014, Emma was arrested for shoplifting, even though it was apparently actually just a miscommunication,note and was subsequently fired from the WWE a few days later. About two hours after the word got out, she was promptly reinstated following the fans doing some digging and naming other members of the roster kept their jobs after doing worse things (most notably Jack Swagger, who got arrested for a DUI whilst possessing marijuana, and Cameron, who also got busted for a DUI, lied about where she worked and unsuccessfully tried to bribe the arresting officer). She would eventually be released for good in October 2017, this time not being related to any misdemeanor.
- Romance on the Set: Dated Matt Cardona, known at the time as Zack Ryder. She's currently engaged to Riddick/Madcap Moss.
- What Could Have Been:
- The 'Emmalina' gimmick was intended to be a parody of Ms. Fanservice Divas like Sable, but the debut kept getting pushed back because management didn't think Emma was getting it right. After literally months, she re-debuted once to say she was going back to being Emma. She later admitted she didn't think it was the right fit for her.
- Her character on NXT was actually a Heel and appeared as such in two matches against Paige and Aksana. The gimmick ended up getting over, resulting in a Heel–Face Turn for her.
