- Out of Order: In an unusual move, not only did Network Ten announce the cast of Season 3 before Season 2 had even aired, they announced that they would be airing Season 3 ahead of Season 2.
- Recycled Set: This version is shot on the same property as Taskmaster New Zealand, calling it the "Taskmaster Retreat" rather than the "Taskmaster Ranch". It's the first international Taskmaster to be filmed in a different country from where the series is produced.
- The Shelf of Movie Languishment: The production and studio records of Season 2 wrapped up before June 2023 when the cast of Season 2 was announced. However, no release dates were announced even after the cast of Season 3 was announced in March 2024... and then it was announced in May 2024 that Season 3 would be aired later that month, with Season 2 to follow closely afterward.
