Trivia / Tamers Abridged

• Acting for Two: Thorn voiced Takato, Guilmon and Henry who all interact with each other at different points. LillyLivers and ShadowKitten also voiced multiple characters who would have interacted later in the series.
• Inspiration for the Work: Like how Mugiwara Yoshi was inspired to begin Sgt. Frog Abridged because he couldn't find any abridged series of Sgt Frog (that he liked), Thorn was inspired to begin Tamers Abridged because she didn't like any of the existing Digimon Tamers abridged series. The Framing Device of the TV station was inspired by the lack of raw footage for the show when Thorn began planning in 2012, the best available footage being recordings from Jetix program blocks that included the logo watermark and ratings card. Rather than ignore them, or try to edit around them like she did with the captions in Jetters Abridged's footage, she decided to incorporate them into the series.
• Throw It In!: Kazu's melodic laugh in Episode 1 was improvised by Xcaliborg.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Thorn and Yoshi's brainstorming session encompassed several character traits, episodes, and jokes that they ultimately never touched.
  • Tamers was going to be TheMidnightFrogs' primary series after Sgt Frog Abridged ended the first time. Thorn and Yoshi's inability to complete the first script ultimately led to Thorn reviving SFA for a third season, after which the team made one more video before going into hiatus. Though they returned in 2020 and have left the door open to more Tamers, this hasn't happened yet due to focusing on their Let's Play channel.
