• Disowned Adaptation: Åke Holmberg did not outright disklike the 1972 film, but he thought that some things had been made "Sloppy" and thus needed a lot of convincing to green light the 1989 version.
• Fake Nationality: All British and Arab Characters in the 1989 series were played by Swedish actors.
