• Banned in China: The film's release was banned in Kuwait, not for its plot (teenagers playing at demonic possession), but over cast member Zoe Terakes (Hayley), who is non-binary and transmasculine. Their character's gender identity is not mentioned in the film, although it is made pretty clear by the consistent usage of the singular "they" for their character.
• Completely Different Title: Hong Kong: Hand Spirit (Chinese:手靈)

• What Could Have Been: The Philippou brothers were reportedly offered a much bigger budget from an American production company to make the film, but they turned it down because they wanted to keep it Australia-based.
