Trivia / Tales of Luminaria

Go To

  • Acting for Two:
    • Jad Saxton voices both the Breadist Girl and August's daughter Lucina.
    • Matt Shipman voices the Observer and Leo (the latter as a fill-in for "Episode Final" as Aaron Dismuke was on vocal rest at the time)
  • All-Star Cast: The English dub was composed of well-known and newly-rising vocal talent from both Texas and California.
  • Casting Gag: Child Lucien is voiced by Apphia Yu, wife of Micah Solusod who voices his older self.
  • No Dub for You: Averted. This marks the first time a Mobile Game Tales spinoff was dubbed in English as opposed to other titles that were in Japanese only.
  • The Other Darrin: Matt Shipman voices Leo in Ep. Final instead of Aaron Dismuke as the latter was on vocal rest at the time.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Tales of Luminaria had at least a 3-year long roadmap of weekly episodes featuring 8 for each character plus 8 more for Crossroads. The game only made it to 6 months and was forced to shutdown before it could even finish releasing the 2nd batch of episodes.
    • Dataminers determined the game had implemented detailed episode & chapter names up to Episode 4 for every character. The impromptu Episode Final in particular was originally intended to be Crossroads Episode 3 (theoretically 8 months ahead of schedule), and it also seems to contain condensed versions of the unreleased 3rd episodes for Leo & Lisette.
    • The official music soundtrack includes songs that were never used in-game, specifically because none of the released episodes featured locales where those songs were intended to play such as the Miasui Icedom & the Dark Caves of Shayor.
  • Word of God: Some of the game's writers took to Twitter after the shutdown to discuss a few details about the story that were never officially revealed such as Falk & Vanessa being long lost sibings and that the anime special, The Fateful Crossroad, was intended to be a playable scenario in Crossroads Episode 4.
