• Ascended Fanon: The Bubble power-up was created for this fanfic, but it would later appear in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, albeit as a flower instead of a bubble wand. It even has a similar color scheme.
• Cross-Dressing Voices: Dolores Rogers is the casting choice for Professor E. Gadd.
• Hypothetical Casting: The credits in Chapter 54 reveals the made-up casting roles for the characters. Of course, the canon characters still have their original actors from the era Sunshine came out (with the exception of E. Gadd).
