• Creator Backlash: Minor example. While Michel Shanks was ultimately happy with the crossover, he regretted that Daniel's first visit to Atlantis was spent, for all intents, stuck in a broom closet (though Shanks acknowledged and accepted this was ultimately necessary due to the narrative). This at least would be rectified 2 years later during Daniel's crossover appearance in Atlantis mid-Season Five.
  • Shanks also voiced regret that they didn't have Christopher Judge or Rachel Luttrell and Jason Momoa (Teyla and Ronon) present while shooting on the Atlantis sets. This at least would be somewhat rectified a year later when Teal'c made a crossover on Atlantis and interacted with both characters.
• Development Gag: Mitchell surveying the Atlantis Gate Room and telling Sheppard he's impressed. Ben Browder was originally in the running to play Sheppard before having to pull out due to a scheduling conflict with Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars. So his and Sheppard's interaction's a wink to that (and a glimpse of what might have been).
• What Could Have Been: According to Michael Shanks, he had pushed for Daniel to finally go to Pegasus during pre-production on Season Ten. Brad Wright had signed off on the request and the original plan was for Daniel to make a crossover appearance over on Season Three of Stargate Atlantis. However, Wright ultimately decided it worked better for Daniel's visit to occur here on SG-1 both for the Ori arc and for symbolic reasons (as the Lost City storyline had originated on SG-1). Ultimately, it was RDA who crossed over from SG-1 to ''Atlantis during this Season.
