• In Memoriam: This episode was dedicated to the memory of Bob Scarabelli, a visual effects executive producer who worked on the show.
• What Could Have Been: According to Joseph Mallozzi, the role of Colonel Everett was originally written for Ben Browder (who had also previously been in the running to play Sheppard before having to bow out due to the shooting of Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars). Browder was again unavailable and the part went to Clayton Landey (though with the ultimate benefit of Browder being available to be cast as Cameron Mitchell over on SG-1 not longer afterward).
