• Deleted Scene: Following a conference regarding the soliton wave, Worf apologizes to Picard regarding being distracted from his duties by his son. Picard tells him that he realizes Klingon officers do not permit their children to live with them but that Worf has met many challenges that are at odds with his Klingon heritage.
• The Other Darrin: Brian Bonsall takes over the role of Alexander from Jon Steuer, who had played him during his debut appearance, but was considered unsuitable for the Bratty Half-Pint characterisation they wanted to go with for the character.
