• Approval of God: Arminr Shimmerman has nothing but praise for the LWD production team and his experience working on this crossover.
  Shimmerman: I did have fun, and I did get to ad lib. It was a great, great, great fun. And they couldn’t have been nicer. They were very sweet. And both Nana [Visitor] and I were very touched that they wanted to make it a tribute to Deep Space Nine. The opening sequence of shooting the station brought tears to both of our eyes because it was just so nostalgic. And we love working there. It was a it was a great, great experience. It couldn’t have been nicer.
• Role Reprise: Nana Visitor and Armin Shimerman reprise their roles as Colonel Kira Nerys and Quark, respectively on-screen for the first time since the conclusion of Deep Space Nine (though they had both previously reprised their roles in the interim for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: The Fallen and Star Trek Online).
• Wag the Director: According to Tawny Newsome, the original script kept Mariner away from DS9 for the entire episode, but she somehow convinced the team to rewrite the episode to let her share a scene with Quark and Kira at the end.
