- Author's Saving Throw: After Community Development began in mid-2023, Spellstone steadily received quality-of-life updates, such as decreased energy costs, a Balance Buff to most Legendary Runes, the ability to choose from 4 Runes instead of 3 when Runecrafting, more substantial rewards for Daily Bonus, and adding full access to Drake and Drake's Emporium and the ability to "max out" cards with a dedicated button (which were previously only available to paying players). This was aimed at improving the game experience.
- Promoted Fanboy:
- The "Dragon Family" and "Undead Armada" cards introduced in November 2022 were based off of two prominent alliances of player guilds, Family (particularly Family's highest-ranked guild, "Dragon Family") and Armada (particularly the strongest 'ship' in the Armada, "SS Tidal Ashes"). A few months later, "Skids, Hellfire Liches", which was based off a guild named "The Skids", was also released.
- In mid-2023, Spellstone began a "Community Development" initiative, encouraging players to become this and develop content for the game. The same idea was tried in another game by the same company, Tyrant Unleashed.
