- Acting for Two: In the Hebrew dub, both Wolfy and Buffo are voiced by Muli Shulman.
- Children Voicing Children: All the child characters on the show are voiced by children of roughly the same age.
- Edited for Syndication: The episode You Only Start Preschool Once and License to Sled are edited when airing on Playhouse Disney in the United Kingdom. Bizarrely, it is never explained why.
- The Other Darrin: Production example: Susan Blu was the voice director for most of the series while Kelly Ward did a few episodes in the second season.
- Out of Order: The episode "Thundersmall" has a definite feeling of a season finale if not a series one, yet it was aired in January 2012 with other episodes following, with the final one not airing until May in the United States.
- Playing Against Type: Sean Astin voices Oso, who's a straight up nice guy rather than the snarky jerk with a heart of gold characters he usually voices.
- What Could Have Been: Creator Ford Riley originally pitched the idea to Disney in 2004 as a series of interstitials. During production, however, it was upgraded to a full-blown series. That's not to say a series of Oso interstitials did in fact happen, in the form of Three Healthy Steps.
- Word of God: ...Is that the show was conceived in part because the creator's son had autism. It is widely regarded as a good teaching program for children who have autism.
