• Bad Export for You:
  • "Senbonzakura" is not available for Korean SDVX IV cabinets, much like how it is also available in MÚSECA 1+1/2 only if you're not playing the Korean version (likely due to the strongly Japanese themes of the song).
  • Heavenly Haven in South Korea, hoo boy. On July 24, 2018, South Korean builds of the game had all tracks added after November 16, 2017 due to Game Rating and Administration Committee recommendations, and all track updates were suspended. The deleted tracks were restored on August 9, and songs released on or after July 24 were finally re-added on August 23.
• Creator Backlash: Lamaze-P, the remixer for "Second Heaven Lamaze-REMIX" and which was hated for being considered a low-effort remix with terrible use of Hatsune Miku, later apologized for the song's poor quality.
• Defictionalization: The in-game Appeal Card Generator, which gives you Appeal Cards to use in-game as your avatar, was made into an actual machine, the Sound Voltex Generator -Real Model-, that can be linked to cabinets beginning with GRAVITY WARS. For an additional cost, it can print out physical Appeal Cards for you, and in fact, it's required for some in-game unlockables.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: It is rare for a SDVX song to be removed, but ten songs have been wiped so far (and a lot more in South Korea). Since Sound Voltex cabs must be connected to eAMUSEMENT and receive updates and it's unlikely that deleted songs will be in the GRAVITY WARS PC port, the only way to play these songs now is to play pirate charts on SDVX simulators like K-Shoot Mania.
  • "GRACE-chan no chou~zetsu!! GRAVITY kouza w", which was an April Fools' Day joke anyway.
    • It got revived in 2017, again as an April Fools' Day joke, and got removed again in the following day.
  • "Cyber Thunder Cider" was removed from the series in 2016 due to an expired license.
  • Infamously, fan favorite "Brain Power" was removed from Heavenly Haven. This was because Konami wanted exclusive usage rights to the song but the artist wanted to use it elsewhere.
    • Despite this, Brain Power was voted one of the top 25 best SOUND VOLTEX songs in an official poll conducted in January 2022... nearly five years after being removed from the game.
• Late Export for You: Despite cabinets of the game being present at American Round 1 branches as early as 2014, the game did not get official North American builds until 2022.
• No Export for You: Like other arcade BEMANI games. It also requires a network connection to Konami's eAMUSEMENT service, both as Copy Protection and as a means of downloading new content. Furthermore, SOUND VOLTEX cabinets are for lease only and not purchase, so good luck seeing a cabinet outside of countries that have eAMUSEMENT. Fortunately, many Round 1's American locations come with SOUND VOLTEX cabinets, which is the closest that the game will see to a Western release. Unfortunately, because Round 1 USA locations set their BEMANI cabinets to Japan region, but do not enable PASELI (a proprietary currency system used for Konami arcade games)^note It's complicated, but exchange rates and tax laws are two of the many factors that inhibit it from happening here, several features are locked out, including Standard Start (no level restriction on chart selection and you're allowed once to continue after failing a song) and Blaster Start (used to unlock Infinite/Gravity charts more easily).^note Cabinets set to non-Japanese Asia regions don't use PASELI, but can still access otherwise PASELI-exclusive options by having players simply insert additional credits.
• Official Fan-Submitted Content: The primary gimmick of the game, as artists can submit tracks and art for possible inclusion through contests held via the Sound Voltex Floor microsite. In order to prevent licensing issues, SOUND VOLTEX soundtracks in the traditional sense are not available.
• Sequel First: The game was finally made officially available in North America in 2022 with the "U" build of EXCEED GEAR, along with the Valkyrie Model cabinet.
• What Could Have Been: The song "Battle No. 1", a collaboration song by all musicians under the HARDCORE TANO*C label, was planned for Heavenly Haven, but was rejected by Konami. It's strongly speculated that this was because the artist credit is "TANO*C Sound Team", a parody of "BEMANI Sound Team", and Konami staff, which had just started applying the "BEMANI Sound Team" name to artist credits amongst other controversies with in-house musicians, felt insulted by it.
