- Crossdressing Voices: Sonic is voiced by Meg Inglima in this game, making this one of the few times he was voiced by a woman.
- Executive Meddling: According to Britton Jackson (the game's writer and designer), the game was going to be an original IP before Sega and Orion Interactive requested the team at the last minute to make it a Sonic game. Some animations of a talking clock host are still present in the AVI files.
- He Also Did: This game has the same writer and directors as Bloodwings: Pumpkinhead's Revenge. It also uses the same Game Engine.
- Prop Recycling: Some of the models and assets were lifted from the canceled Sonic X-treme game that was being developed around the same time. On a more meta level, the game also recycles its entire engine from Bloodwings.
- What Could Have Been: There are video files of a clock host, as this game was not originally related to Sonic the Hedgehog at all.
