• Bury Your Art: Mixedfan deleted the fic and all of its spinoffs from its original website, believing that it aged poorly and would reflect badly on him and his future work. That being said, it is still possible to read the story... if you know where to look.
• Creator Backlash: Mixedfan currently believes the writing has aged horribly due to him thinking at the time that everything has to be Darker and Edgier in order to be good, to the point of deleting the entire series of the site.
• Follow the Leader: Ultimate Universe fics that retell the mythology of the Sonic series while implementing elements from across all the adaptations are not uncommon in the fandom. Heroes of Mobius, if not the first fic to do this, is believed to be the first to really take off. Many other similar fics such as Tales of Sonic the Hedgehog are stated to be inspired by it.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Because the series was deleted from both Fanfiction Dot Net (and Mixedfan's DeviantArt page has been deleted altogether), the only way to read it and its spinoffs is through archives.
