• Word of God:
  • The novella takes place before the Era 4 trilogy of the Mistborn series.
  • The sequel will feature a five-year time-skip and be about Dusk traveling to Shadesmar. It would resurface as the Fifth Secret Project, tentatively called The Isles of Emberdark, and incorporate a slightly revised version of Sixth of the Dusk as a flashback sequence.
  • Mraize (from The Stormlight Archive) has a green chicken that has been confirmed by Brandon as an Aviar.
