• The Shelf of Movie Languishment: The movie was made in 1986, but various issues led to it not being released until 1989.
• Troubled Production: The production of the movie started in 1986, and stopped when Cannon went bankrupt, and a few months later the producers (without telling original director Castellari) hired Luigi Cozzi to finish up and edit it, and it was he who inserted the Framing Device to tie it all together as best he could. The narration itself was made by freelancer Brad Goldberg, whose initial draft was sent straight to recording. It finally released to little fanfare in 1989, and Castellari didn't even know it had been finished until he saw it in a video store.
