  • How "Cat Man Do" came to be, according to creator Simon Tofield:
    "I basically sat down one day and thought I'd teach myself to use some new computer animation...And that morning Hugh, who was then a tiny kitten, had been jumping all over me – pulling my ears and scratching me, trying to wake me up for his breakfast. So I decided to do a little film of a cat trying to wake its owner. And I made it up as I went along."
  • A lot of the cat's antics are based on the antics of Simon's own cats. The kitten added to the cast also happens to be based on one of his other cats (who was a kitten himself at the time).
