• Outlived Its Creator: Jeff MacNelly died in 2000, but has continued under different writers and artists (one of whom is MacNelly's widow, Susie).
• Referenced by...: Batman, of all titles. Prominent editor/writer Dennis O'Neil was purportedly a huge fan, and named The Penguin's attack-eagles in one annual after Shoe and the Perfesser (which was later carried over into The Batman Adventures).
