• Dyeing for Your Art: Gold hair made Shelton more distinct from fellow African-American wrestlers Marcus Cor Von and Bobby Lashley, also on the ECW roster.
• What Could Have Been: When creating the 'Momma Benjamin' character, they first asked Shelton about having his real mother portray her, as Torrie Wilson's father had recently played himself in a storyline too. He declined, and they auditioned and eventually cast Thea Vidale. She was meant to stick around longer, but her health problems meant she had to be written off TV after only a few months.
