Trivia / Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get A Clue!

Go To

  • Acting for Two: Many of the voice actors voice multiple characters.
  • Billing Displacement: The episodes list the voice actors in alphabetical order, meaning that Frank Welker gets listed closer to the bottom despite voicing Scooby. This is averted with Casey Kasem as Uncle Albert, who is given his own billing title after Frank.
  • Bury Your Art: This is only Scooby-Doo series that Cartoon Network and Boomerang, both of which would normally show lots of Scooby material, outright refuse to rerun, at least in the United States. Eventually, Boomerang's streaming service finally included the show in September 2018 as part of that year's "Scoobtober" promotion.
  • Creator Backlash: How Warner Bros. feels about this show. Only a handful of episodes were released on DVD, it hasn't been rerun anywhere since (though it's streaming on Boomerang's app), and Warner almost never acknowledges its existence in anything relating to Scooby-Doo's history.
  • Executive Meddling: Averted for the most part, since the creators said they actually had plenty of freedom with this show. However, they were working on a tight deadline for the series, and the show had to operate on a low budget, so they had to work with those constraints, and the creatives admitted there would have been more episodes with the entire Mystery Inc. gang had they had more time to think of it.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Two episodes were released as bonus features on DVDs of Laff-A-Lympics, the first eight episodes were released across two DVD volumes, and some compilation DVDs have some other episodes, but it's unlikely to see any further DVD releases, at least on its own.
    • Rescued in September 2018 when the entire show was finally made available on the Boomerang streaming service, a little over ten years after the show disappeared from the airwaves in North America.
  • The Other Darrin: This was the first series, but not the first time overall, in which Shaggy was voiced by an actor other than Casey Kasem. Here, he's voiced by Scott Menville instead.
  • Screwed by the Network: Despite lacking any ratings issues, the show was canceled after two seasons in preparation for Kids' WB!'s transition to TheCW4Kids. It wasn't one of the lucky few series to still air on TheCW4Kids for a while.
