  • Fun with Acronyms: To be fully versed in both authors' work, you need to know what 7DSJ, AHP, ROTF, AAG and BH mean.note
  • In-Joke: A meta example: in All-American Girl (Shinzakura), Shinzakura originally based the names of Equestrian military ships off album titles from Stereolab, and it seems that Blue Bastard carried it on into the Berylverse. Then Shinzakura went one step farther and took one of their songs ("Captain Easychord") and named a character after the song.
  • Mid-Development Genre Shift: Shake It Off, as per Shinzakura, is far less dark than it was during its development as Feather.
  • Missing Episode: Treasure has a story about several characters, but not Octavia, who is a major main cast member. Shinzakura explains this for two reasons:
    • Octavia was at her grandmother's place at the time, and the incident was well-documented enough in the main story that it could be skipped; and
    • The Cocteau Twins album the story is named after had a song that was never finished and thus never placed on the album. The song's name? Octavia.
  • Schedule Slip: Shinzakura has taken a slight hiatus from All-American Girl (Shinzakura), he. she. we. and Claude & Monet to write this, much to those fandoms' collective chagrin.
  • Shown Their Work: Midnight Moondust is said to attend the Archer School, which is an elite girls school in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles and within view of the Getty Museum (renamed as "The Brentwood Museum" In-Universe.)
  • Teasing Creator: Shinzakura has always been one of these and probably on the verge of being a Trolling Creator; now BB has picked it up for this series as well.
