- The Pete Best: The first bassist Lari Kylmänen, given how he played only on the 1990 demo When Death Joins Us... and 91' demo Rotting Ways to Misery. The first drummer Tuure Heikkilä even more so, since he didn't get to play on anything.
- Reclusive Artist: Despite being the leading songwriter, Miika Tenkula stayed very much out of the spotlight, only gave a couple of interviews during his entire lifetime and didn't even own a computer. When a biography of him was published in 2024 it consisted pretty much entirely of accounts of his friends, coworkers and family members.
- Swan Song: The Funeral Album. No one was dying when the record was being made, but Sentenced was very much falling apart due to personal conflicts as well as Laihiala's growing disinterest in the band, but the group ultimately decided to make one last album with a limited tour and go out in a blaze of glory rather than simply fade away.
- What Could Have Been: After Taneli Jarva quit in 1996, Ville Valo became interested in becoming the new vocalist of Sentenced, but by the time he contacted the band Ville Laihiala had already got the job.
