• Channel Hop: It aired on VH1 as opposed to the past two seasons airing on MTV.
• Role Reprise: After eight years, Roger L. Jackson finally returned as Ghostface.
• The Shelf of Movie Languishment: It was supposed to premiere in the spring of 2018, but was delayed following the disgrace of producer Harvey Weinstein, whose name wound up removed from the credits. A number of recent mass shootings, particularly the one at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, may have also delayed the season. Ultimately, it wound up making a Channel Hop to VH1 with the subtitle Resurrection, where it premiered on July 8, 2019. A blink-and-you'll-miss-it line in one episode reveals that the show still takes place in 2018.
