- Fan-Work Ban: Just like all Sanrio titles and characters, fan work of the Sanrio Boys is banned to protect the characters' image. The biannual Comic Market also bans any unofficial Sanrio work from being sold.
- No Export for You: Crunchyroll does not make the series available outside of the US and Europe due to restrictions placed by Pony Canyon, the show's distributor in Asia. Unfortunately the show's availability in Asia itself is very patchy.
