  • Schedule Slip:
    • Considering the busy lives of the creators, more recent videos have been uploaded on past the 15th day of the month, likewise their miniseries are sometimes uploaded a few days later than Sunday. Beginning with Chelsea's Safari Episode 4, the text at the end of miniseries episodes changed from, "Regular episodes on the 15th of every month. Miniseries episodes every Sunday", to, "Regular episodes every month. Miniseries episodes every week."
    • Due to a renovation of their studio, Sam & Mickey didn't release a regular episode in September 2021, all of the videos they planned to release that October appeared on either November 1 or November 2 instead, Thanksgiving Episode "The Unfollow" appeared on December 4, and Christmas Episode "The Lost Christmas" appeared on January 18.
  • Series Hiatus: Sam & Mickey took several breaks in 2022, only posting new episodes in January, March, and July. The post-July break continued until the May 2023 release of "The Unexpected Hiatus", explained in-universe as Barbie joining a cult for nine months. They also haven't posted any miniseries since November 2021.
  • Throw It In!: Tommy's tendency to mispronounce Yasmin's name resulted from Sam accidentally misspelling it in the script for "Tommy," then deciding that it suit the character too well to correct.
