  • Dawson Casting: The campers are implied to be somewhere between 12 and 14 years old, and while several of them were in this age range, Danny Cooksey (Budnick) and Michael Bower (Donkeylips) were 16 in the first season and 17 in the second, and Blake Soper/Sennett (Pinsky) was 19.note
  • Descended Creator: The actor voicing Dr. Kahn was Steve Slavkin, the series' creator and executive producer.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: It hasn't been released on DVD yet, though there have at least been occasional reruns since 2011 on NickRewind and 5 episodes from each season are available via Paramount+. Better than nothing.
  • Technology Marches On: One second-season episode focuses on Sponge and Pinsky using a computer to connect to a telephone line. This is a huge deal to the campers - remember, it was the early 1990s!
  • Screwed by the Network: As the show was finishing up its second season, some of the actors sought to renegotiate their contracts. However, Nickelodeon was opposed to this, as they believed the show had gone on long enough and their practices of rotating out child actors wasn't going to change. Steve Slavkin vouched for the cast and, in protest, walked off the set during the final 2 weeks of filming, which ended up being the crux of why the show was cancelled.
  • Throw It In!: The scene in the opening credits when Donkey Lips says, "This thing came apart." The fishing rod he was holding actually fell apart when they were filming that scene, the directors decided to just leave it in.
  • What Could Have Been: Nickelodeon wanted to move the show production to the newly opened Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando for a third season. However, several cast members refused to relocate, so the show was cancelled.
